The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when Officers Devin Ludwig and Joshua Kemlage responded the Tinkleman Plaza on Route 9 for a report of an unconscious male, said Sgt. P. Capparelli.

When they arrived on scene they found a 30-year-old unresponsive man with shallow breathing and a light, but rapid pulse lying on his back in the parking lot.

It was immediately determined that the man was experiencing an overdose of narcotics and they quickly administered Narcan, with no effect. A second dose was administered with little to no effect. A third dose was administered and the man started to breathe again, Capparelli said.

Paramedics arrived on scene and took over care of the man who was transported via Mobile Life ambulance to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for further care.
